I know this sound ridiculous but this is the truth and the solid proof that Sven can fit in so many roles even the impossible one like support. However, even though this Rogue Knight can fit in so many positions, my main target today is to make the best Sven carry. That’s also become my main reason for writing this Dota 2 hero review for Sven and to make it more interesting, I will also tell you a few weakness that Sven has so you can be more aware of Sven fragile side.
Sven is a ridiculously strong hero even though without an item, he can easily draw blood from the enemy. That’is why it’s really a common sight if you see Sven get banned in so many big tournaments like TI or small tournament like MMR. However, without correct steps to farm, it will take forever for him to farm. Especially if his enemies are cleverer than him and keep doing ganking to slow down the progress of Sven items’. That’s why this day I will share some of my Dota 2 tips on how to use Sven properly!
Tips On Using Sven!
- Make sure your lane is safe!
- Because Sven can’t do much without Blink Dagger or Shadow Blade, you need to make sure your lane is conducive for our farming place. One thing you need to remember is to stay away from ranged enemies for a while and make sure you are paired with a good support if all lanes having ranged enemies!
- Use Storm Hammer wisely.
- This is two edge skill because it can help you nor harm you. Why do I say that? It’s because the mana usage of this skill is too much while your mana pool is limited and you also can use that much of mana point for another skill. So, make sure you use Storm Hammer in the correct time!
- Don’t be greedy!
- It is the most common mistake that sometimes done by Sven player. They are over confident while they do not realize if they are walking to the enemies trap!

- Blade Mail.
- This is the cheapest way to counter Sven outstanding damage. If you make this item, I will guarantee that Sven won’t dare to hit you except if him already finishing his Black King Bar or prepared to die with you.
- Enchantress.
- I believe you already know this beautiful girl. This girl having special abilities that will make Sven have a difficult time on fighting her. So, without Black King Bar on his hand, he will be just dreaming off on hitting Enchantress!
- Troll Warlord.
- This is the most annoying counter for Sven. Aside from his ability to double his attack speed. His passive ability to bash enemy also very useful for him to fighting Sven since Sven is a slow hitter.
